Ndidi among EPL's 50 most valuable players

Super Eagles and Leicester City star Wilfred Ndidi is among the 50 Most Valuable Premier League players, according to the latest ranking by transfermarkt.

The midfield enforcer who is into his fifth season at Leicester City is currently valued at 45 million euro making him the most valuable Nigerian player in the English Premier League, and by extension, the second most valuable Nigerian player behind Napoli striker and compatriot, Victor Osimhen at €50m.

The 23-year old share the €45m valuation with five other players namely Dominic Calvert-Lewin (Everton); Tanguy Ndombele (Tottenham) and Chelsea trio of Hakim Ziyech, Mason Mount and Mateo Kovacic.

Liverpool duo of Egyptian and Senegalese stars, Mohammed Salah and Sadio Mane rated well ahead of Ndidi as they are valued at €120m each while Cote d’Ivoire’s Wilfried Zaha and Algeria’s Riyard Mahrez were valued at €50m and €48m respectively.

Ndidi however, is rated and valued above Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka and Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham who are valued at €40m each, the lowest on the 50-man list.

Ndidi’s high rating and valuation has to do with his sterling performances for the Foxes since arriving the King Power Stadium outfit from Belgian side Genk in January 2017.

It would be recalled that Ndidi was named the Man Of The Match for Leicester City last season according to a report by Sky Sports on the strength of his solid performance for the Foxes.

England international and Tottenham star Harry Kane and Belgium and Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne were also like Salah and Mane valued at €120m – the highest.
