Serie A giants, Napoli have decided to hold on firmly to their most priced asset amid transfer speculations linking Victor Osimhen with a move away from the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.

The 23-year-old attacker was the club's marquee signing in 2020 from Ligue 1 side Lille in a deal worth 81 million euros.

The club's decision was informed by the departure of some key players from the team including Lorenzo Insigne.

Napoli chief, Cristiano Giuntoli has made it clear that the Nigerian international will not be leaving the club this summer regardless of the juicy nature of the offer that will arrive at their table.

In the absence of Insigne, Osimhen has been handed the role of first-choice penalty taker for the club and will also assume a lot of attacking responsibilities in the coming season.

Osimhen scored from the spot in Napoli's one-all draw against Mallorca in their last pre-season friendly.

The ex-Lille forward has been linked to Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea, Newcastle United, and Bayern Munich.
