NRFF President Mbagwu blasts Sports Ministry ahead NIgeria’s imminent ban from Rugby

President of the Nigeria Rugby Football Federation Kelechukwu Mbagwu has lashed out at the sports ministry for dissolving the board of the federation.

He said the nonchalant attitude from the ministry will hurt the discipline that is on the verge of achieving some success.

Mbagwu speaking in a chat with www.brila.net ahead of what is expected to be an imminent ban on Nigeria from World Rugby after Rugby Afrique had suspended Nigeria for Government interference arising from the dissolution of the Sports Federations said it’s been a tough and inconsiderate action from Nigeria’s Sports Ministry.

“What can we do, our Sports ministry actually do not care and don’t care whether Nigeria is suspended, they don’t care whether Nigeria is banned and I think they have their own very definite idea of what progress means."

"World Rugby has even sent a corroboratory letter although my Vice President who is the chairman of the caretaker committee is expected to come up with something and nothing so far because the Sports ministry is difficult to work with.”
