Nigerian-born UFC fighter Israel Adesanya has made a huge gamble on the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) match between Enyimba FC and Lobi Stars.

The People’s Elephant will welcome Lobi Stars to the Enyimba International Stadium in Aba later today, September 25.

Enyimba are behind schedule after participating in the CAF Confederation Cup playoffs against Etoile Filante of Burkina Faso.

The former NPFL champions secured qualification to the group stage after winning 3-2 in the shootouts.

In a huge step geared towards promoting the local league, Adesanya has placed a bet worth $4,000 (₦63 million) on Enyimba to beat Lobi Stars, expecting a payout of $5,920 (₦93 million), as per Legit.

The Nigerian-New Zealand professional mixed martial artist took to X to share a picture of his ticket with fans.
