United State President, Donald Trump has revealed that his son, Barron Trump, is a huge fan of Cristiano Ronaldo.

This comes after Ronaldo, the captain of Saudi side, Al Nassr, joined a delegation led by the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman, to Washington, DC.

Both men met for the first time at a White House dinner on Tuesday night.

The veteran player who donned a black tuxedo was seated alongside the world’s richest man, Elon Musk and US vice president JD Vance.

Trump name-dropped the Portuguese football icon during his speech at the dinner.

According to Trump, the former Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus superstar had earlier been introduced to his son, who is a huge soccer fan.

“This room is loaded up with the biggest leaders in the world – business, sports…” Trump said.

“My son is a big fan of Ronaldo… Barron got to meet him and I think he respects his father a little bit more now – just the fact that I introduced you. So I just want to thank you both for being here.”

Ronaldo will be playing in his sixth World Cup to be hosted in the USA, Mexico and Canada, after Portugal defeated Armenia on Sunday, November 16.
