Spanish forward Álvaro Morata has served a subtle warning to Victor Osimhen following his departure from Galatasaray.
The 32-year-old has accused the Turkish giants of not honouring the contractual agreement he had with the club following his loan deal in January.
Morata, who has now joined Cesc Fàbregas' Como side on another loan deal, left Galatasaray after just six months into his season-long loan deal with the club, citing contractual breaches.
Galatasaray, however, insist the striker's contract was mutually terminated, with Morata's parent club AC Milan forced to pay a €5m termination fee and the striker waiving €651,562 in ‘receivables.’
Morata, in an explosive statement, hit out at the Turkish champions for forcing his departure from the club—a statement which serves as a subtle warning to Victor Osimhen, who recently made his loan deal with the Yellow and Reds permanent.
“There were times when my word and fundamental values were not kept; until the very end, commitments were not honoured to the point that I had no choice but to give up part of my salary and other contractual rights that I had already earned thanks to my work,” the striker said *inter alia* on his social media account.
“For me, in life and in work, there are principles that should never be broken, such as respect for everyone’s rights.”
“Failure to recognise and compensate for what I earned is, for me, unacceptable and contrary to the values of fairness and professionalism in which I believe.”
