Mikel leads Stoke City to pre-season win over Leeds United

Former Super Eagles striker and Stoke City midfielder, Mikel Obi led his new side to a deserved victory against newly promoted premier league side, Leeds United.

Mikel was on for more than an hour in the game and was the catalyst in the Potters’ midfield before he was substituted, Brilla.net said.

The Michael O’Neil’s boys won the game by three goals to nothing to make it back to back win in three days.

According to Brila.net, Nathan Collins put Stoke City ahead in the 24th minute when he beat the goalkeeper with a low drive shit from inside the area.

In the second half, Tom Ince set up Lee Gregory for the second goal in the 52nd minute.

Ince who is the son of former England international, Paul lnce scored the third goal six minutes later.

Mikel who also captained Stoke City in the game has now featured in two friendlies and scoring once.
