Mikel Obi finally addresses alleged longtime rift with 2Baba Idibia

Former Super Eagles captain Mikel Obi has finally spoken about his alleged long-time conflict with music icon 2baba.

2Baba released a hit song in 2010 dubbed 'Only Me' after it was widely circulated in 2006 that the former Chelsea star had shunned him in a club in London.

Sources say 2baba wrote the song in retaliation for Obi's rudeness.

2Baba debunked the rumour in an interview with Brila FM in 2016.

According to the artiste, he never made that song to diss anyone or Mikel, and that the incident never happened.

Mikel never spoke about the rumours until a netizen asked him about it.

Addressing the issue, Mikel said he never ignored 2Baba at a London club.

He added that he is huge fan of the singer and would never have done that.

Sharing a post online, Mikel wrote: "When the music hits hard and you can’t get enough, Have a good Sunday my people."

Reacting to the video, the netizen identified as xfranky22 asked the ex-football star about the old viral reports, saying: "Did you truly snub 2face at a club in London back in 2006?"

In response, Mikel said: "No, I never did. Am a big fan of his. So I wouldn’t do such a thing. Have a lovely day."
