Messi crosses 100 international goals with hat-trick against Curacao

Lionel Messi surpassed 100 international goals as Argentina demolished Curacao in a friendly in the early hours of Wednesday, March 29.

The Argentina captain scored a hat-trick as the world champions made light work of the Island nation at the El Monumental Stadium in Bueno Aires.

The seven-time Ballon d'Or winner completed his hat-trick in the first half, scoring in minutes 20, 33, and 35.

Nicolas Gonzalez, Enzo Fernandez, Angel Di Maria, and World Cup final hero, Gonzalo Montiel grabbed the remaining goals for La Albiceleste.

Messi, who had 99 international goals prior to the game has now moved his goal tally in the Argentina shirt to 102.

The recently crowned FIFA Best player has joined Cristiano Ronaldo (122) and Ali Daei (109) as the only players to hit 100 international goals.

Messi, 35, made his international debut against Hungary back in 2005 and has since then gone on to score 102 goals for the three-time World Champions.
