Manchester United’s new signing Bryan Mbuemo has named Nigeria’s Ademola Lookman among the top three current best African players.

The 25-year-old recently joined the Red Devils from Brentford in a deal worth £65 million.

Speaking in an interview with Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand, Mbuemo named Samuel Eto'o, Didier Drogba, and Yaya Toure as his top three African idols.

He also listed Egypt’s Mohamed Salah, Nigeria’s Ademola Lookman, and Morocco’s Achraf Hakimi as the current top three African players.

Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman is currently the reigning African Footballer of the Year, following his stellar campaign with La Dea during the 2023–2024 season.
