Nigeria has defeated Guinea Bissau in the second leg clash of the African Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Simon Moses converted a penalty on the half-hour mark to give the team a well-deserved victory at the Estadio 24 de Setembro.

The victory takes the Super Eagles back to the summit of Group A after a disappointing loss in the first leg at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, four days earlier.

Nigeria's points tally stands at nine points with four matches played. Guinea Bissau moves to the second position with 7 points, Sierra Leone stays in third with 5 points and Sao Tome and Principe maintains the last position after just one victory.
