Manchester United’s U18 coach, Darren Fletcher, will oversee the senior team temporarily.
This change follows the club hierarchy’s decision to dismiss Ruben Amorim as manager on Monday.
Amorim was terminated after a meeting with football director Jason Wilcox and CEO Omar Berrada this morning.
Wilcox and Berrada informed the 40-year-old of his dismissal.
He then said his goodbyes to the players and exited United’s Carrington training complex.
Fletcher is expected to lead the team for Wednesday’s Premier League match at Burnley.
The Red Devils are currently sixth in the league with 31 points from 20 games.
