Atalanta's hero and Super Eagles forward, Ademola Lookman has been excluded from Atalanta's squad for their Seria A opener at Leece following rumors he might be moving to Paris Saint-German (PSG).

Recall that the Super Eagles forward, Ademola Lookman took Atalanta to a glorious feat in May with a hat-trick against German Champions Bayer Leverkusen and won the club its first-ever European trophy since 1963.

In a surprising turn of events, the forward was left out of the squad announced on Sunday for Atalanta's trip south, where Gian Piero Gasperini's side is set to kick off their league campaign on Monday evening.

The Italian media reported that Lookman's representatives informed Atalanta of PSG's interest in him as the club navigates a busy summer transfer window.

However, Koopmeiners was also left out of the 23-man squad for the Leece match, but Atalanta has yet to finalize terms with Juventus, who are restructuring under new coach Thiago Motta
