Nigeria's Ademola Lookman has been shortlisted for the 2024 Global Soccer Awards alongside some of the elite stars in world football.

The recognition underscores the significant milestone in Lookman's career this year, following his 14th ranking in the 2024 Ballon d'Or ceremony.

The 27-year-old was shortlisted alongside great football stars of the game, including Lionel Messi, Erling Haaland, Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior, Jude Bellingham, Rodri, Cole Palmer, and Mohamed Salah, among others.

Lookman has been phenomenal this year, from his performance at the African Cup of Nations to his form at the club level.

He guided Atalanta to the Europa League title last season after netting a historic hat-trick in the final against the then-unbeaten Bayer Leverkusen side.

Lookman and Mohamed Salah were the only African players to make the shortlist.
