Reigning African Footballer of the Year Ademola Lookman has reportedly cleared all his belongings from his locker at Atalanta’s Zingonia training ground.

According to reports, the 27-year-old skipped training for a second consecutive day as he continues to push for a move away from the Bergamo-based club.

On Sunday, August 3, Lookman released a lengthy statement on Instagram, accusing the club of breaking promises regarding his future.

Responding to Lookman's claims, Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi stated that the agreement was to allow the Super Eagles star to leave only for a club outside Serie A.

In protest of the club’s stance, Lookman has missed training sessions on both Monday and Tuesday.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the former Leicester City forward has emptied his locker at the club’s training facility, signaling a complete breakdown in relationship between the player and Atalanta.

Reports have described the situation as a “total breakup” between Lookman and the club, with tensions escalating over Atalanta’s refusal to accept Inter Milan’s €45 million bid.
