Towering Super Eagles defender, Leon Balogun made a return to the football pitch after he featured in his side's emphatic victory against Motherwell on Sunday.

The Rangers defender who has struggled to stay fit since the beginning of the new season was introduced in the second half replacing Filip Helander.

Balogun has missed the previous three matches for the Gers, including the last two league games and the Europa League success last week, Brila.net reports.

It was a sweet return for the former Wigan Athletics defender as Rangers thrashed their hosts by five goals to one to extend their lead on the table.

Speaking after the game, Balogun said he’s delighted to back in action and he also praised his teammates for the fantastic results.

“Great feeling to be back out there with the boys and get another important win – well-done lads, ” he said
