Leeds United have lifted the EFL Championship trophy tonight in a classy fashion after thrashing Charlton Athletic 4-0 in their final game of the season.

Following a slip by West Brom in their last game, Leeds confirmed their return to the PL after 16 years away.

A superb stroke by Ben White gave the champions the lead in the 14th minute and Stuart Dallas made it two 14 minutes later.

Tyler Roberts put the home side in a further driving seat in the 51st minute to go three goals up.

But the crowned-champions weren't done until the 66th minute when Jamie Shackletone added one more to make it 4-0.

The defeat however means relegation for Charlton Athletic.

Meanwhile... Despite a nervy draw against Queens Park Rangers on the last day of the Sky Bet Championship season, West Bromwich Albion have secured comeback to the Premier League after two-years.

West Brom needed a win to secure the second automatic qualification spot with just a point ahead of Brentford but were held to a 2-2 draw by QPR.

A win for Brentford would send West Brom into the playoffs to justle for the last spot amongst three other teams.

But West Brom's fate was sealed after Brentford skipped to a 2-1 defeat at home against Barnsley.

The win also helps Barnsley escape relegation from the Championship, thanks to Wigan's 12 points deduction.
