Kelechi Nwakali back in Action after two-month Injury Spell

Super Eagles Midfielder Kelechi Nwakali is fit again after spending more than six weeks out injured.

Nwakali injured his right leg in November during Ponferradina’s 1-0 loss to Malaga in a Spanish Segunda B Division game.

The 24-year-old made his long awaited return from injury in the side’s 2-1 win over Villarreal B in the Spanish Segunda Division match on Friday.

He was subbed on in the 59th minute for Erik Moran and had a good game for La Deportiva at the Estadio El Toralin stadium.

The 2022 African Cup of Nations star says he’s delighted to be back to the pitch.

“Starting the year good +3 and it feels good to be back,” Nwakali posted on Twitter after the game.

Kelechi Nwakali has a goal and two assists in 17 appearances for Ponferradina in all competitions this season.
