Joshua gives caveat for Fury's return to boxing

Former heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua believes Tyson Fury will return to the boxing ring provided the right fight is presented to him.

According to the two-time heavyweight champion, retirement is not the end of the boxing journey, and believes that Fury will make a swift U-turn to the ring if a fight with huge financial gains arrives at his table.

“I feel retirement doesn’t mean you have completely given up and you are on the beach clicking your toes and drinking a bottle of Corona, Joshua said as quoted by PUNCH Sports Extra.

“I feel he is still ticking over, and he will come back if the right fight is presented to him.”

“If Fury will come out and honour the gentleman’s agreement there is a lot of money to be made. I know that money could help a lot of people as well,”.

Tyson Fury had earlier declared his intention to return to the ring to fight Joshua for free provided his conditions are met.

Joshua on the other end is gearing up for his rematch bout against Oleksandr Usyk on August 20 at the Jeddah Super Dome in Saudi Arabia.

AJ was outboxed by the Ukrainian in September last year at the Tottenham Hotspurs Stadium, losing his WBA, WBO, and IBF titles.
