John Noble discloses why he didn't feature against Mexico

Super Eagles goalkeeper, John Noble has revealed that an injury sustained in training prevented him from featuring in the friendly against Mexico.

He was tipped to begin the game against Mexico in Los Angeles Coliseum last Sunday, July 4, but Lobi Stars shot-stopper Stanley Nwabali later got the nod to start the match.

According to Noble, he was unhappy with the 4-0 loss, but he, however, thanked the NFF for the great experience.

“For me right from the bench, I was feeling bad because I was hoping we will get a good result like a draw because lots of people are banking on us. But due to my injury.

"I was not able to feature in the game. However, I still thank God for the experience. At least this is my second time visiting the US, so it was a wonderful one,” he said.
