Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa has said it is an honour for him to get a call-up to represent the country in any international tournament.

The inclusion of Musa in the 24 man squad to face Benin and Lesotho in the AFCON qualifiers attracted varied reactions from Nigerians with many questioning why a clubless Musa will be included in the team at the expense of more in-form players.

But speaking in a chat with Brila.net, Musa said he feels honoured already and one he also hopes to replicate. He also added that he hasn’t been short of suitors at club level but decided on a personal note to wait till the summer before signing for any club.

“I have to honour my country whenever I am called up, there is a lot of offer for me but I just want to wait till the summer so that I will sign. I am a free agent I can decide but I decided on my own to wait till the summer.”
