The video shared by former Super Eagles midfielder Ogenyi Onazi showed the moment young Osimhen was made to stand on a sofa and introduce himself to his new senior teammates. As a custom, the 18-year-old was then made to dance in front of the team.

Osimhen made his official senior debut for Nigeria in a 2-0 loss to South Africa on June 10, 2017.

He missed out on Nigeria's 2018 FIFA World Cup campaign in Russia due to his inconsistent performance at Wolfsburg.

Osimhen was recalled to the Super Eagles by Gernot Rohr in November 2018 after a successful start to his loan spell at Charleroi.

The former Lille striker has gone on to win 37 caps for Nigeria, scoring 22 goals.
