Impressive list of NFL players of Nigerian descent who have won the Super Bowl

Prince Tega Wanogho became the latest NFL player of Nigerian descent to win the Super Bowl following the Kansas City Chiefs' triumph over the Philadelphia Eagles at the State Farm Stadium on Sunday night.

It was the 25-year-old's first Super Bowl as the Chiefs beat the Eagles 38-35.

In this piece, we look at three NFL stars of Nigerian descent who have won the Super Bowl in recent years.

Jay Ajayi

Jay Ajayi won the Super Bowl with The Philadelphia Eagles in 2018. The 29-year-old was a key member of the Eagles team that won the Franchise's first Super Bowl in Super Bowl LII over the New England Patriots.

Ajayi was born in London to Nigerian parents before his family moved to Maryland in the United States.

Nelson Agholor

In the same Eagles team that won the Franchise's first Super Bowl title was Nelson Agholor.

The wide receiver was born in Lagos before moving to the United States at age 5.

Prince Tega Wanogho

Prince Tega Wanogho became the latest NFL player of Nigerian descent to win the Super Bowl following the Kansas City Chiefs' 38-35 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.

Wanogho was born in Delta State, Nigeria and moved to Alabama in 2014 in hopes of becoming a basketball player.
