Ike Ugbo nets winner for Chelsea against Bournemouth

Nigerian striker Ike Ugbo was on target for Chelsea as they pipped Bournemouth 2-1 in a pre-season friendly on Tuesday.

The Nigerian born England youth international got his head to Ross Barkley’s cross to put 2-1 up o the 76th minute.

The goal completed the turnaround for Chelsea after going behind through Emiliano Marcondes strike for  Bournemouth early in the second half.

Another academy product Armando Broja equalised for the European champions, thanks to Baba Rahman’s cross.

Ugbo has been linked with a move away from Chelsea after rejecting a new contract from the offer.

Clubs in Belgium, Italy and Scotland have reportedly shown interest in the player who has just twelve months left on his current Chelsea deal.

The 22-year-old spent last season on loan at Cercle Brugge, netting 16 goals in 32 appearances.

The striker joined Chelsea at the age of 10, but he has had five spells away from since turning professional.
