Kelechi Iheanacho has been awarded with Leicester City's Goal of the Season following his strike against Crystal Palace, Twitter.

The Nigerian international helped his side come from a goal down to beat the Eagles at the King Power stadium back in April.

The 24-year-old unleashed a left-foot shot from an acute angle inside Palace's 18-yard as Vicente Guaita could not do anything about the strike.

The plaque was handed to Iheanacho during the Foxes' annual end of the season awards ceremony.

The goal was also named the club's best goal in the month of April and his volley against Burnley was given the best strike in March.

Belgian mercurial midfielder Youri Tielemans won the Supporters’ Player of the Year season award and also scooped the Players’ Player of the Season prize.

Iheanacho has scored 18 goals in 36 appearances across all competitions for Brendan Rodgers’ men this season as they hope for a last day miracle to make it through for a top four finish.

Leicester will be hoping Liverpool drop points against Crystal Palace at Anfield as they host Tottenham at the King Power on matchday 36.
