I won't lose sleep over EPL move - Onuachu

Nigerian international, Paul Onuachu, has hinted that he’s not worried about rumours concerning his future, as he relies on divine intervention for the best way to go in the summer.

Onuachu took to his Instagram page to post a cryptic message which appears to be directed at reports of a potential move to England.

The former Midtjylland striker posted an image on his Instagram which had this quote: “When God is your audience the opinions of people are no longer your sustenance.”

Although the 27-year-old may have just posted it with a free spirit, it could also be aimed at distractions from the media over his future.

Onuachu is expected to leave Genk this summer after a record-breaking season. The Nigeria international scored 35 goals in all competitions for The Smurfs last season.

Premier League clubs Arsenal, West Ham, and Watford have been credited with an interest, but Genk coach revealed that the Nigerian could stay beyond this summer.

Gent have placed a transfer fee of 25 million euros on the striker.

Meanwhile, Genk coach, John van den Brom had said that Onuachu could stay at the club beyond this summer.

“I hope that we will still be without leavers on September 1, Den Brom told voetbalnieuws.

“It would be very nice if we could keep this core together. It is not certain that Lucumi and Onuachu will definitely leave, but for the time being, they are still at Genk.”

The former Dutch footballer also added the club expects them to leave, but it’s not certain they will go.

“They are the two players we’ve said are likely to leave, but that doesn’t mean they’re leaving the club anyway.”
