I was trying to be funny - U.S TV host, Smith apologizes over his comment

American TV personality, Stephen Smith apologizes over his bastardization of the names of D'Tigers players.

The TV personality claims his statement was out of joke but online users took offence over it and he, however, reverses his word by saying "I was trying to be funny".
