I want to score more goals - Osimhen

Super Eagles star, Victor Osimhen has expressed his desire to bang in more goals for the national team following his remarkable performance against Sao Tome and Principe on Monday, June 13.

The Napoli attacker scored four times against Sao Tome in a game that saw the three-time Africa champions demolish their group A counterparts by 10 goals to nil.

Speaking in a post-match interview, the 23-year-old commended coach Jose Peseiro for instilling a sense of unity in the team.

The ex-Lille man also expressed his desire to continue scoring for the Super Eagles.

“There is a big solidarity in the team and this is what the coach has taught us. I believe as a group we have the quality to build on this momentum. And yes, I want to score more goals for the team, and of course, keep on getting the wins for the team.'' the Napoli attacker said as quoted by The Punch.

Osimhen has now scored 15 goals in 23 caps for the Super Eagles.

He joins hat-trick heroes like Buraimoh Abudu, 'Wonder Boy' Paul Hamilton, Bobo Mordi, Segun Odegbami, Rasheed Yekini, Ikechukwu Uche, Odion Ighalo and others who have scored at least thrice in a single game for the Super Eagles.
