'I want to play Champions League football – Dele Ajiboye says after renewing contract with Plateau United

Plateau United goalie, Dele Ajiboye will remain at the club for at least one more season after he extended his contract for the 2020/2021 Nigeria Professional Football League season.

This follows a fruitful meeting he had with the club's management after the expiry of his initial deal.

Speaking in an exclusive chat with Sports station, Brila.net, the Super Eagles goalkeeper admitted that he shunned advances from 3SC and Kwara United to remain in Jos.

“I renewed my contract for many reasons, firstly, I want to play in the Champions League again, if not, I would have preferred to go back home or move closer to my family because there were contacts with Kwara United and 3sc.

"So it was not easy for me to leave my family and the salary was also an improvement on the previous deal, so I just decided to stay for one more season,” he told brila.net.

The former Prime FC of Oshogbo, Wikki Tourists, Kwara United, and Warri Wolves goalkeeper was a member of the Plateau United that won the Nigerian professional football league title for the first time in 2017, reports Brila.net.
