Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has apologised to winger Mohamed Salah for his verbal attack on the Egyptian.
Carragher had on Monday labelled Salah a ‘disgrace’ and suggested that the 33-year-old wants to get his manager, Arne Slot, sacked.
However, speaking on CBS Sports’ UEFA Champions League segment on Tuesday, the Englishman was asked by former Manchester City defender Micah Richards if he would like to apologise to Salah.
Carragher acceded to Richards’ request and also expressed his admiration for the former Chelsea star.
“Mo, I apologise I have upset you. I love you as the Liverpool player, but you just need to behave yourself off the pitch,” Carragher said (via Mirror).
Meanwhile, Salah was absent from the Liverpool squad that defeated Inter Milan 1-0 in the Champions League at San Siro on Tuesday. This followed his explosive, controversial interview in which he criticised Liverpool and manager Arne Slot.
