'I prefer goals that bring points' - Okereke unhappy despite scoring against Inter

Nigerian international David Okereke is not quite pleased despite scoring against Serie A giants Inter Milan on Tuesday, August 30.

Cremonese lost by 3-1 to Simone Inzaghi's side at the San Siro Stadium as the chase for a first win continues for the newly promoted side.

Goals from Joaquin Correa, Nicolo Barella, and Lautaro Martinez ensured that Okereke's 90th-minute strike only counted for a consolation.

Cremenose is yet to record a single point in the league after 4 matches.

Okereke, who scored his side's only goal expressed his dissatisfaction after the game.

"It's not my best goal, but for sure scoring at San Siro is never trivial. But I prefer goals that bring points," Okereke told the club's website.

"In any case, I want to dedicate it to the fans who even today were very numerous at San Siro to support us. I hope they are not disappointed because we are giving everything and continuing to work I am sure that the results will come."

Okereke has scored 2 goals in 4 Serie A outings for Cremonese since joining the Serie A new boys from Club Brugge this summer.

His fellow countryman Cyriel Dessers was also in action against Inter.

The 27-year-old was subbed off in the 67th minute as he made way for Italian striker Samuel Di Carmine.
