I never told Capello that Real Madrid dressing room smelled like alcohol - Van Nistelrooy

Netherland international star, Ruud van Nistelrooy, has denied that he ever told his ex-Real Madrid coach Fabio Capello that the dressing room smelled of alcohol.

The Dutchman was at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu at the same time as Ronaldo Nazario, who Capello admitted caused him plenty of problems during his tenure as coach.

"The greatest talent I ever coached was Ronaldo," Capello told Sky Sport.

"But at the same time, he was the player who created the most problems for me in the dressing room. He used to throw parties and do everything.

"Once, Van Nistelrooy said to me: 'Coach, the dressing room smells like alcohol."

However, the former Manchester United player took to Twitter completely deny the Italian's claims.

"In light of some declarations that were made by Fabio Capello, claiming that I once said that the Real Madrid dressing room "smelled like alcohol", I want to completely deny such comments," he wrote.

"[Everyone] in that dressing room showed maximum professionalism from the first day.

"Each and every one of us worked and defended the club's badge in an integral and professional way."
