Former Nigerian striker, Victor Agali has once denied the reports he was expelled from the Super Eagles hotel in Tunisia because he brought girls into this hotel room.

Agali, Celestine Babayaro and Yakubu Aiyegbeni were sent home from camp during the tournament in Tunisia 2004 after rumors went rife that they broke camp rules.

Despite playing the opening game against a youthful Moroccan side, the trio were rom the team’s Monastir base.

Reacting to the allegation, Agali on Brila FM’s “No Holds Barred” with Ifeanyi Udeze, denied the allegations and claims he received an apology from now late Taiwo Ogunjobi, a former top-ranked NFF official at the time.

"NFF Officials lied about what happened in Tunisia, I was kicked out of the Super Eagles on false allegations,” said the former forward.

“I remember years later Taiwo Ogunjobi, of blessed memory, called me to apologize for what happened.

“Football officials had the press at their disposal and would often use them to put out all sorts of narratives. They didn’t care how if affected the player’s, as long as it’s in line with their agenda.”
