Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique insists he is not a loser despite their thumbling defeat to Chelsea in the FIFA Club World Cup final.
The Blues stunned the Parisians 3-0 at the MetLife Stadium on Sunday, July 13 to win the new expanded version of the Club World Cup.
Cole Palmer scored a brace with new signing Joao Pedro adding another to seal a remarkable victory for Enzo Maresca's side.
Reacting to his side's shocking defeat, Enrique stated that he is a runner-up and not a loser.
“Loser? I’m not a loser. I’m a runner-up.
“There are no losers in top level football. A loser is someone who doesn’t wake up from his bed,” he stated.
Enrique led PSG to a historic treble last season, winning the UEFA Champions League, Ligue 1 and the French Cup.
