Nigerian international, Emmanuel Dennis has revealed that ex-Barcelona megastar Ronaldinho was his football idol growing up.

The former Brazilian international is arguably one of the greatest footballers of all time and one of the greatest dribblers to ever kick the round leather object.

The 42-year-old is also one of the greatest sports talents the world has ever seen. He won two Ballon D'or awards during his peak days at Barcelona.

Dennis, who recently joined Premier League newcomers, Nottingham Forest revealed his admiration for the Brazilian legend.

The striker who hailed from Kwara United Academy added that he is a professional footballer today because of his love for Gaucho.

“My idol growing up was Ronaldinho. He’s the reason I’m a footballer today, the 24-year-old told Complete Sports.

“I just love everything about that guy and his talent with a football inspires me a lot. When I play, I just like to entertain people and have fun.

“I really like to nutmeg people. I had the most nutmegs in Europe last season which was crazy. I just love to have fun on the pitch, but I also want to score goals and add assists.

Dennis joined Forest last weekend from Watford for a reported fee of £20m.

The 24-year-old has been handed jersey number 25 at Forest ahead of his debut against Everton this weekend.
