Nigerian midfielder Alex Iwobi has earned plaudits from former England striker Ian Wright for his blistering form at Everton.

The 26-year-old who put up a string of decent performances to help Everton escape relegation last season has picked up from where he left off this season.

Iwobi's incredible form for the Toffees has drawn accolades from managers, players, pundits, and fans.

The former Arsenal man's game has evolved ever since Frank Lampard took over the reins of the club in January.

The Super Eagles midfielder has transformed into a totally different player at Goodison Park as his transformation has caught the eye of ex-Gunner legend Ian Wright.

The former Crystal Palace striker describes Iwobi's change of colour as “unbelievable”.

He explains that “he is the pass before the assist” and will fit perfectly into Mikel Arteta's current project at the Emirates Stadium.

“He’s the pass before the assist, the 58-year-old said as per Football365 via Wrighty's House Podcast.

“people don’t realise it. Everton fans are now starting to realise that if they get the right players in and around him, he’s going to be a force for them.

“You look at his work rate, it’s unbelievable. It’s the kind of intensity that Mikel wants and needs now, we need that, we need somebody who can press like that.”
