Graham Potter could make an instant bounce back to football management after Chelsea sack

Graham Potter may have lost his job at Chelsea, but the Englishman is still highly-rated, at least by other Premier League clubs.

The 47-year old still has a number of suitors, one of them being Leicester City, according to stunning new reports.

In an interesting twist of fate, Leicester are also looking for a new manager after the club parted ways with Brendan Rodgers after four years in charge.

Rodgers left Leicester with the Foxes in 19th place, while Potter was dismissed by Chelsea after the club slipped to the bottom half of the log.

For Leicester, their next managerial appointment will be crucial, especially because they are fighting relegation.

According to TalkSport, Leicester have been huge admirer of Potter, and the Englishman has been on the club’s radar from his Brighton days.

He was offered his first real test of a job when Chelsea sacked Thomas Tuchel in September 2022, but his stint was anything but straight forward. In his 22 Premier League games in charge, Potter won just seven times, with Chelsea slipping from sixth to 11th during his reign.

At the moment, Chelsea’s hopes for Champions League football solely hinge on them winning the competition but that in itself is an uphill task as they face Real Madrid in the quarter finals.

Other names linked to Leicester job According to The Mail, there are other big names who are in the frame for the Leicester job.

Former Newcastle and Everton manager Rafa Benitez is among those names, while Jesse Marsch, Ralph Hasenhuttl and Adi Hutter are also considered as contenders.
