Ghanaians applaud Mr Eazi for investing $6m in their football clubs

Some Ghanaians have taken to social media to laud Nigerian singer, Mr Eazi after the singer and songwriter secured a title sponsorship deal for the Ghana Premier League (GPL).

Mr. Eazi, who holds a majority share in the betting company, betPawa on Wednesday, August 3 signed a deal with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to sponsor the Ghana League for the next three years in a deal worth US$6 million.

An amount of US$2 million will be invested each year to promote the Ghana Premier League.

The deal was sealed by the 'Skin tight' hitmaker and the GFA president, Kurt E.S. Okraku at the GFA premises in Accra.

Mr Eazi's gesture has won the hearts of many Ghanaians and some have taken to their various Twitter handles to share some heart-warming messages to hail the Nigerian artist.

Mr Eazi was born in Port Harcourt but relocated to Ghana in 2008 where he enrolled at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

He gained international recognition following the release of the Efya-assisted single "Skin Tight".
