Gary Neville slams Pogba for embarrassing handball

Manchester United legend Gary Neville has slammed Paul Pogba for almost causing his team's defeat against West Ham United after a shameful handball to give away a penalty.

With few minutes to go in the first half Pogba put his hands to protect his face from an oncoming shot, but handled the ball in the penalty area.

Michail Antonion put West Ham ahead from the resultant penalty, and Mason Greenwood teamed up with Anthony Martial to pull one back for the home team in a must win game.

The result means United need a draw to stay in the top four against Leicester City, or they must hope for a Chelsea defeat to Wolves.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Neville said about the penalty incident: "It's rubbish from him, rubbish... it's embarrassing."

Mason Greenwood's goal placed United in third position with just a point ahead of Leicester who they face away for a cracking decider on Sunday.

United tie with Chelsea on points but lead with goal difference after Frank Lampard's men suffered a 5-3 defeat to Premier League champions Liverpool.

United only need nothing less than a draw to secure their place in next season's Champions League.
