Fenerbahçe forward Vedat Muriqi has issued a stern warning to Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen ahead of the mammoth Intercontinental Derby.

Galatasaray will host their bitter rivals at RAMS Park in the Süper Lig later today, Monday, October 26.

Three points currently separate Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe, who sit second and third, respectively, in the league table.

Speaking ahead of the encounter, Muriqi said Osimhen should not expect an easy game against the Yellow Canaries.

The Kosovo international expressed confidence in Fenerbahçe’s defenders’ ability to keep the Super Eagles striker at bay.

“He’s a very strong and good player, but I trust my teammates,” Muriqi told beIN Sports, via Turk Inform.

“I think our defensive line can neutralise Osimhen’s quickness and gain the upper hand.”

Osimhen boasts an impressive record of two wins and two draws in four league encounters against Fenerbahçe.
