Galatasaray chief medical officer Yener İnce has provided a fresh update on Victor Osimhen’s injury situation as club football beckons following the conclusion of the international break.

The 27-year-old has resumed training ahead of Galatasaray’s Süper Lig clash against Kasımpaşa on Friday, October 9.

Osimhen has been on the sidelines after sustaining a groin injury during Galatasaray’s 3-2 win over İstanbul Başakşehir on September 4.

The former African Footballer of the Year has missed six games for both club and country following his injury but has been tipped to return to action soon.

However, İnce, in his latest update, disclosed that Osimhen, Singo and Sallai will all undergo medical examinations to determine their availability for the upcoming matches.

“We will conduct tests on all three players, on Osimhen, on Singo, and on Sallai as well. We will make a decision based on the test results,” İnce told Winner Galatasaray.

“But the treatment of all three is going very well. In other words, all three are in a much better condition now compared to one week to 10 days ago. In other words, thank goodness, there is nothing going wrong with the treatments,” he concluded.
