Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk has devised a strategic plan to slowly reintegrate Victor Osimhen into his team when he returns from injury after the international break.
Osimhen has been sidelined for three weeks after sustaining a muscle injury in Galatasaray's 3-3 draw against Kasimpasa in the Turkish Super Lig.
The 25-year-old was substituted in the first half after scoring a brace in the opening 28 minutes of the game.
The Nigerian international missed the Super Eagles' African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Libya due to the injury but has since returned to training last weekend.
According to reports, manager Buruk has made the key decision not to risk the reigning African Footballer of the Year by having him start the upcoming games from the bench.
Osimhen is expected to start from the bench when Galatasaray take on Antalyaspor in the Super Lig this weekend.
However, the former Lille striker is expected to start Galatasaray's subsequent game against Besiktas.
Osimhen has so far registered 2 goals and four assists in his first four matches for the Super Lig giants.
