Gabon star, Aubameyang shortlisted for PL award

Gabonese striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyan has been shortlisted alongside five others for the Premier League Player of the Month (#POTM) award for the month of February.

Aubameyang will slug it out with Manchester United's January signing Bruno Fernandes, Wolverhampton Wanderers' Matt Doherty, Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Burnley's Nick Pope and Chelsea's Marcos Alonso for the award.

Arsenal played a total of three league matches in February with a record of two wins and a draw, grabbing seven points in total against Burnley, Newcastle and Everton.

The 30-year-old scored three goals in three matches; one against Newcastle and a brace the following week against Everton.

Arsenal's captain, Pierre, is currently the PL's joint-top scorer alongside Leicester City's Jamie Vardy, having scored 17 goals in 25 games.

Aubameyang was the PL's POTM for the month of September 2019.
