Footballer flashes his penis during match in an attempt to distract opposition from scoring a free-kick

A Colombian top-division footballer was at the center of what many have described as absurd when he pulled out his penis in an attempt to distract an opponent before a dangerous freekick.

Geisson Perea, a defender for Independiente Santa Fe defender flashed his penis while standing in the wall as the opposing player lined up to take the freekick.

The game over the weekend was against Jaguares de Cordoba.

According to reports, the bizarre tactic was meant to distract the player and it appeared it worked as the Jaguares man wasted the effort.

Perea has spoken out following the incident, claiming he didn’t intend to expose himself to the world.

‘I was fixing my Lycra, I had that space,’ he told Colombia’s Win Sports TV. ‘When I enter [the pitch], I enter it to play and not to be aware that a camera can see me. They are synonymous with emotions that move.

‘I am a human being and I only tried to accommodate my Lycra, my intention was not to show my private parts.’

According to TMZ Sports, various supporters were enraged by Perea’s brazen display as his private part were shown on the TV broadcast, with many calling for him to be punished, while others urged the club to swiftly remove him from the squad.

The report also said Perea was not penalized during the game by the referee as he did not see the incident. At this moment, he has not yet received any disciplinary action for the display.
