A 42-year-old Ghanaian heavyweight boxer, Brian Kamoko popularly known as Bukom Banku vowed in 2019 to defeat Anthony Joshua.
Bukom Banku made the disclosure on the backdrop of Joshua's first career defeat to Mexican boxer, Andy Ruiz Jr.
The famous boxer and comedian bragged that he will beat Joshua like a son if his promoters can stage a fight with the British-born Nigerian boxer.
“I will beat him rough. Anthony Joshua is my son he doesn’t know how to fight,” Bukom Banku told UTV in an interview.
The self-acclaimed Ghanaian boxing president added that he is underrated because he is based in the West African country.
“You don’t see me as a big boxer because I’m in Ghana, so you don’t believe me. The person who beat Anthony Joshua can’t beat me,” he stated.
Joshua suffered yet another crushing defeat against Usyk last Saturday at the Jeddah Superdome in Saudi Arabia.
The 32-year-old lost via split decision to the Ukrainian as Usyk retained his IBF, IBO, WBA, and WBO titles.
