Eguavoen says Jose Paseiro will get the needed support to succeed

The Technical Director of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF), Augustine Eguavoen has said incoming Super Eagles coach, Jose Paseiro will be given the needed support to succeed in his new role.

Paseiro who was announced as the man to take charge following the sacking of Gernot Rohr in January is expected to take over from Eguaveon after the exit from the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

With all eyes set on the 2022 FIFA World Cup playoffs against Ghana set to take place in March, Eguavoen has returned to his role as the technical director of NFF, said Jose Peseiro the backing to perform.

“We have to sit down together and map out strategies. We need to give him the platform, we have already prepared the team for 80 to 90 percent. ”

“He just have to add his own style and leadership. We would support him with everything because the country comes first,” he said before the team left Cameroon.
