EPL: 'This is football' — Ola Aina reacts to Nottingham Forest’s draw against Crystal Palace

Nigerian defender Ola Aina has shared his thoughts following Nottingham Forest's disappointing draw against Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

The Tricky Trees were held to a 1-1 draw at Selhurst Park on Monday, May 5, casting doubt on their chances of qualifying for the UEFA Champions League next season.

Nigerian-born England international Eberechi Eze gave the home side the lead from the penalty spot in the 60th minute, before Nottingham Forest defender Murillo equalized for the visitors just four minutes later.

In his post-match reaction, Aina stated that the result was a good point earned away from home.

“I think it’s a good point away from home. It’s tough to come here — they are a good side. And, you know, with the level that we’ve hit recently, a point is a good result,” he told Sky Sports.

The 28-year-old also expressed disappointment in his team's recent dip in form, having managed just five points from a possible 15.

“It just happens. This is football; sometimes it just doesn’t go your way,” he added.

“Unfortunately for us, it hasn’t gone our way recently, but the hard work continues. We try to get three points every game, but we couldn’t get that today.”

Nuno Espírito Santo's side are currently two points away from the Champions League places.
