Manchester United have reportedly lined up at least four coaches as potential candidates to replace Michael Carrick.
The former midfielder has come under intense pressure following the Red Devils’ disappointing 3-0 loss to Bournemouth at Old Trafford.
The defeat has pushed Manchester United further down the Premier League table to 16th place.
The club have won just two matches this season, with victories coming against Ipswich Town in the Premier League and Sabah in the UEFA Champions League.
The club hierarchy are reportedly set to hold a crisis meeting on Monday morning to discuss four potential managers who could take over from the club legend.
According to the UK Telegraph, Carrick is set to be relieved of his duties at Old Trafford following the club’s underwhelming start to the season.
Reports indicate that former Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe and former Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann are in pole position to succeed Carrick.
Other reports have suggested Aston Villa manager Unai Emery and Brighton head coach Fabian Hürzeler as potential candidates.
