Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi came up clutch for Fulham in their Premier League clash against Hull City on Saturday, October 17.
The 30-year-old scored the only goal as the Cottagers edged Hull City at Craven Cottage.
The all-important 33rd-minute strike secured Fulham’s first victory of the season, easing the pressure on manager Álvaro Arbeloa.
The victory lifted the London club out of the relegation zone to 17th place in the Premier League table.
Speaking after the match, Iwobi highlighted the importance of the victory for the team and urged his side to carry that momentum into their upcoming matches.
“The win was a long time coming. We have performed well even though the results spoke otherwise,” Iwobi told Fulham TV.
“The manager has asked us to keep going and hopefully the luck will go our way, and it has now started. We just have to kick on and use this momentum for the rest of the season.”
