Super Eagles defender Ola Aina has been ruled out of action for the remainder of the year.

This was disclosed by Nottingham Forest manager Sean Dyche in his latest injury update on the full-back.

The former Torino defender was expected to return to action this month after undergoing surgery following his injury.

Dyche has, however, disclosed that the 30-year-old will be out of action until 2026.

This means Aina will also miss the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations for Nigeria.

“The ones left not with us yet are Taiwo, Woody and Douglas – although they are getting closer. Ola is getting closer to fitness but obviously can’t be with us until January,” Dyche said, as quoted by the Nottingham Post.
